Polymer Science, Inc. works with its suppliers to help provide custom solutions for customer’s TransDermal applications. Polymer Science, Inc. currently provides hydrogels and pressure sensitive adhesives (PSAs) that act as a drug delivery vehicles for a variety of active ingredients serving many different end uses. All adhesives, coatings and laminated products meet clinical as well as commercial requirements. Our highly skilled engineers and technical staff will work with you to determine the most efficient drug application process as well as provide solutions to your converting and packaging needs to minimize material handling, storage and delivery costs.
Polymer Science, Inc. is registered with the FDA as an OTC drug manufacturer and packager and is compliant with cGMP regulations. Polymer Science, Inc. is also ISO9001 registered to ensure a consistent and quality product that is both safe and effective is being produced and will meet or exceed the requirements of your application. Clean room and white room coating, converting and packaging facilities are used to ensure your product is isolated from the normal production flow. This extra care maintains the safe and effective production of your specific adhesive, coating, converting or packaging material.
Processes utilized in the manufacture of adhesive, coating, converting and packaging products are designed to maintain consistent state of process control. Processes and equipment utilized have been qualified and validated to manufacture pharmaceutical adhesives and coatings. All equipment is operated by trained staff and documentation is maintained in accordance with relevant pharmaceutical cGMPs.
Adhesives and coatings can be compounded on site with batch sizes of 5 gallons to 1000 gallon. Smaller batches can be compounded during developmental stages and ran on lab scale equipment to provide samples comparable to actual production finished product. Converting of production and lab scale production is possible to aid in conception, marketing, validation and production.

Documentation is in place that will meet the relevant pharmaceutical cGMPs. Polymer Science, Inc. maintains documentation such as the Batch Master Record, Batch Record, Distribution Records, Validation Protocols, etc. as required for your specific pharmaceutical application. Our staff recognizes the need for accurate record keeping and will ensure that documentation necessary to your application will be maintained accurately and appropriately.
