Polymer Science continues to expand its ability to manufacture non-irritating, atraumatic adhesive for use in woundcare applications, recently adding an additional coating line specializing in the processing of silicone gel adhesives. Polymer Science customizes constructions which utilize silicone gel pressure senstitive adhesives. Depending upon the specifications for the application including wear time and functionality, Polymer Science can provide rollstock highlighted with silicone gel. Silicone gel adhesives provide a non-irritating, soft, conformable foundation for use in a variety of woundcare and medical device applications. Typical constructions utilize interleaf which provides strength to the construction and a variety of backings which may become the primary exposed side of the construction or become incorporated into another portion of the medical device.
